About the Photographer

Who is Annette (ALi) Lovejoy?

Currently as a commissioned photographer with over 15 years of professional photography experience Annette Lovejoy, known as ALi to most of my clients, has successfully
worked in multiple photographic disciplines.

Our studio is PERFUME FREE, however we do use Essential oils and Pure Instincts to help our clients feel and smell sexy.

As Commercial/Industrial Photographer/Designer I won several National awards in the areas of set design and aesthetics.

In addition to photography, I served 4 years in the United States Air Force working on F-15's and F-16's. I was also an independent wedding planner/coordinator for 3 years,
which now gives me a tremendous edge as a wedding photographer. When I decided to stay home to raise my family. I wrote resumes, did image consulting and helped
other people start their own businesses. But none of that was creative enough for me. Thanks to my oldest Daughter Nichole, she helped me to realize a passion I had never
even considered as a career in Image Photography.

In 2003 I discovered a passion for Boudoir/Glamour and Pin-Up style Photography. My husband was overseas at that time serving our country, when the idea was presented
to do some Pin-Up shots. Well that was all it took for me. It took about two years to get to a spot that I could start, but I haven't looked back. I now specialize in Women's
Photography. I will shoot men if they are a part of a couple but I prefer to shoot only women. Women have so many issues when it comes to photographing them that I wanted
to be able to put all my talents together and really help women to feel beautiful. So I started shooting women from a women's group. All of which are amazing women and very
beautiful, yet they are everyday women. So I focused on learning the different styles of sexy, photography. Today the most requested style is Boudoir. Every woman wants and
needs to feel sexy. Let me explain.

Definition - Boudoir photography does not require its subject to be a physically flawless woman. In fact, the very essence of boudoir photography is the idea that its subject is
not a professional model. No longer confined to the idea of heavy makeup, lingerie, and the bedroom, the new age of boudoir photography is casual, sensual, and sexy.

I love helping women, no matter their size or shape to feel good about themselves. As a photographer, my interest is wide and varied, but my main focus and passion is the
creation of intimate and timeless images of women.  When a woman allows me to photograph her, she is exhibiting a period where she is completely comfortable in
expressing herself sensually. A majority of the people I work with are engineers, artists, dancers, family, friends, and strangers. Just everyday people that I meet in my normal
day-to-day activities. Sharing in the creation process, these women have not only shown their physical beauty, but have inspired me with their intelligent and creative ideas.
Reflecting their motions, sensuality and security of self allows me to portray their inner most beauty to the outside world. I am blessed by their trust and belief in what I do. It is
my hope these women encourage you as much as they have me to feel confident and sexy within their own skin.

As a natural light photographer I have developed my own unique style and comprehensive approach to satisfy every woman’s need for Intimate Photographs.  However, I
sometimes use crude lighting to push me to find just the right angles and use shadows to my advantage.

The fairly recent change (2005) from a traditional SLR to a Digital SLR has been amazing. I love the immediate feedback. Now instead of being limited by cost of film and
processing, I can focus on more of my client’s personalities and catching some things that I would not have otherwise caught. I love my job (if you can call it that, it is more like
play with some hard work attached), and the diversity that comes with it. Looking through my lens is like being a kid and seeing through another person’s eyes. There is a
whole world out there waiting to be explored, and I am just one of the people brave enough to find what waits right around the corner.

My style is clear and simple, capturing the familiar in an unfamiliar and creative way.

Currently I am also registered with Model Mayhem.com My Photographer number is Mayhem #509818.  Please feel free to look me up and see what others say about my
work. I am also a Public Speaker, who talks on the subjects 1) Image and Confidence 2) Overcoming Tragedy and 3) Marriage and Family. In addition to all the above, I am a
facilitator for Dove, helping young women understand the media and how it traditionally works, then leading them to see themselves in a positive light. I love what I do; I am
dedicated to helping women feel good about themselves and their bodies, no matter who they are.

“The more I photograph, the more I am reminded of the beauty that hides right before our eyes.
Photography forces me to take the time to see and record the interesting vignettes that make up our world.
Beauty and interest are everywhere-we just need to take the time to see Them.”
